TODAY ISP service relies on a fiber network that is 100% buried underground.

Underground network cabling can reduce the potential for outages that result from contact with overhead conductors.

In addition, it can eliminate the potential for fatalities and injuries that result from collisions of vehicles with utility poles.

It reduces the risk of accidents caused by lines downed by storms and by vehicle accidents caused by collisions with poles.

Under-ground cabling also reduces the danger of fire.

In Phnom Penh, the governement is currently undertaking a major project to put all overhead cables on major roads underground.

This project is a problem for other ISPs who do not rely on a fully underground network, and their customers experience outages as a result.
